Project Committees

Do you enjoy helping to organize Club events or assisting with Club administration?  If so, we have several different project committees that would welcome your participation.  


As a member if you have an interest in working on a committee be sure to update your Project Committee Interests in your Member Profile.  Additionally, if you would like more information about a project committee feel free to reach out to the committee's chair, which can be found using the Project Committee Search page in the member portion of our website.  

 SPECIAL EVENTS

Fashion Show
This committee plans and presents the annual Fashion Show at the April luncheon. 
 
Give a Heart 
This group plans and coordinates the annual raffle at the February luncheon.  Prizes are donated by members of the Club and local businesses and won only by Club members.  Proceeds from the ticket sales go to a 501C charity in Nassau County. 
 
Holiday Dinner Dance 
The annual Holiday Dinner Dance held in December for members and their guests is planned and executed by this committee. 
 
Purple Elephant 
The tag sale event at the October luncheon is planned and executed by this committee.  Proceeds go to a local non-profit.

This group plans one-of-a kind events,

 

MEMBER SERVICES

Name Tags 
This member defines the process of ordering name tags, assists members with any questions or issues, provides copies of order forms at meetings, and acts as a liaison with Mead’s Framery. 
 
Nurturing Newcomers 
 This is a support group of Women Helping Women.  The group's mission is to provide Club members with special attention, support and assistance during a time of need.  This is not a group that meets monthly - those who volunteer will be called upon as needed. 
 

Welcome Team

Team members welcome new and potential new members at the monthly coffees and luncheons and plan events designed for new members throughout the year. 

 

Connection Crew

This team is a "Buddy" system to assist members with questions related to Club operations.

 


LUNCHEONS
Luncheon Oversight
This committee plans and coordinates monthly luncheons including venue, program and decorations. 
 

 CLUB ADMINISTRATION

Audit 

The audit committee reviews income and expenditures three times a year.


Facebook Administrator 
The task of this committee is to manage and administer the Club’s Facebook site. 


 
Publicity 
This committee promotes public awareness of the Newcomers Club of Amelia Island, publicizes the Club to prospective members, and provides pictures for the Club archives. 
 

TECHNOLOGY SERVICES

The Technology Team, led by the Technology Officer,  investigates and implements technology to support and streamline Club operations in addition to maintaining our Club website.
 
Activity Coordinators
This team works closely with Activity Chairs to communicate information about monthly activities.  They are responsible for updating the Calendar located on the Club website.  A representative of this team sits on the Technology Team.


Webmaster
This person sits on the Technology Team and is responsible for routine updates to the Club website.
 
Membership Coordinator

This person sits on the Technology Team and is responsible for maintaining membership records on the Club website.

Global Communications
Under the direction of the Communications Officer, this team manages global emails.
